This isn’t "teaching a class."

It’s real mentorship. Real people. Real conversations.

  • Paid, meaningful work
  • Flexible scheduling (you choose your hours)
  • Deaf-led + community-first standards
  • Built for real-life practice (not homework)

If you’ve ever thought “people need practice, not another worksheet”… same.

You’re a great fit if…

  • You’re a Deaf signer who wants to guide learners
  • You’re good at making people feel welcome (even when they’re nervous)
  • You like helping others build confidence through conversation
  • You care about culture, access, and community

Sessions are simple.

  • Meet learners on video
  • Practice real-life topics based on their goals
  • Share feedback that helps (kind + clear)
  • Keep it welcoming, culturally grounded, and human

No pressure to be “perfect.” Just real connection. 🤟

Guide Standards

Our vibe is simple: welcoming, Deaf-led, culturally grounded. 🤟

Guides agree to:

  • Be respectful, professional, and kind
  • Support learners without shaming mistakes (we’re building confidence here)
  • Keep sessions culturally grounded (ASL + Deaf community context)
  • Maintain privacy + boundaries
  • Show up on time (and communicate if life happens)

And yes—your setup matters:

  • Clean, distraction-free environment (good lighting helps 🙌)
  • Reliable computer + camera + mic (whatever works best for you)
  • High-speed internet (so sessions don’t freeze mid-sign 😅)
  • Keep your calendar updated and honor bookings with commitment

That’s it. No corporate weirdness. ✅
