Signnect is Deaf-led and built with access in mind. This page explains how we approach accessibility and how you can reach us if something isn’t working for you.
Our work is guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and Section 508 standards.
We aim to design Signnect so it’s easy to use across devices, browsers, and assistive technologies. This includes:
Mobile-responsive layouts designed for clear navigation
Readable typography with clear labels and consistent hierarchy
Color contrast and UI choices that support readability
Keyboard navigation support where possible (tab order, focus states)
Skip-to-content and semantic structure (headings, landmarks)
Alternative text for informative images and clear handling of decorative visuals
ARIA labels used where appropriate to support screen readers
We also use a mix of manual and automated checks, including tools such as:
AXE, WAVE, Color Contrast Analyzer, NVDA, Headings Map, and keyboard-only navigation testing.
We continuously apply accessibility standards to all new content and features.
